Religious, Cultural, Community or Ceremonial Leave. Any employee shall be entitled to leave without pay of up to three working days in any calendar year for the purpose of observation of religious, cultural, community or ceremonial occasions. Satisfactory evidence, such as a statutory declaration, may be required.

  • Citizen Volunteer or Community Service Leave Leave without pay may be granted for community volunteerism or service.

  • Cultural Leave Where such leave is approved by the employer, teachers participating in recognised cultural activities within New Zealand or outside New Zealand are entitled to leave with pay on the same conditions as for sports leave.
