REGULAR EDUCATION CLASSES. The District will not exceed a maximum class load at the following levels: Grade Level 2003-05 1 – 3 25 4 26 5 28 6 – 8 29 9 – 12 32 Combinations (K – 5) 21 Combination classes (K-5) can increase to 22 to meet over load situations. The maximum daily pupil per teacher load will not exceed 160. These maximum class loads will not apply to Music classes; therefore, a music teacher’s maximum class load may exceed 160. No limit will be placed on special needs students in a regular classroom; however, this can sometimes create challenges for the classroom teacher with regard to instruction and classroom management. If a classroom teacher has a concern about the number of special needs students assigned to his/her classroom, the teacher and principal will review the concern and reach agreement for a resolution that is reasonable and appropriate. If necessary, the review team may be expanded to include a special education administrator and a CVEA representative.

The maximum daily pupil per teacher load will not exceed 160. These maximum class loads will not apply to Music classes; therefore, a music teacher’s maximum class load may exceed 160. No limit will be placed on special needs students in a regular classroom; however, this can sometimes create challenges for the classroom teacher with regard to instruction and classroom management. If a classroom teacher has a concern about the number of special needs students assigned to his/her classroom, the teacher and principal will review the concern and reach agreement for a resolution that is reasonable and appropriate. If necessary, the review team may be expanded to include a special education administrator and a CVEA representative. General education class loads may be reduced by one for each para-educator that attends a general education classroom. Upon teacher request to reduce class load size, program administrator, teacher, building administrator and CVEA representative will review the request and make a determination as to whether or not there are space limitations that would justify reducing the class size by one for each para educator assigned.

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, one (1¢) cent per hour per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such monies to be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established by the National Union, CAW, effective from date of ratification and sent by the Company to the following address: CAW Paid Education Leave Program, 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxxxx X0X 0X0.

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.

  • Required Education (a) The Employer shall provide and fund any Employer required training/education for a Nurse.

  • How Are Contributions to a Xxxxxxxxx Education Savings Account Reported for Federal Tax Purposes? Contributions to a Xxxxxxxxx Education Savings Account are reported on IRS Form 5498-ESA.

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Member Education The Contractor shall provide members with general information about the benefits packages covered under the Hoosier Healthwise program. The Contractor shall have policies and procedures in place to ensure that member education information is accurate in content, accurate in translation relevant to language, and do not defraud, mislead, or confuse the member. Member education shall include, but not necessarily limited to the items noted below:

  • Special Education Committee The parties agree to establish a committee comprised of representatives from ETFO, the Ministry of Education and school board leadership in the area of special education. Additional representatives may be invited as resources to the committee as needed. The committee will discuss current issues as identified by the parties related to supporting students with special education needs. The committee shall meet regularly commencing no later than November 30, 2015 and recommendations will be made to the Minister of Education by April 30, 2016. Terms of reference will be jointly developed to inform the scope of discussions and recommendations.   • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment.
