Qualifications—Roving Holidays. Any new employee who has attained regular seniority on or after April 1, 2008 will be eligible for one (1) roving holiday after work- ing ninety (90) tours of duty from his/her date of hire (seniori- ty date), a second (2nd) roving holiday after completing one hun- dred and eighty (180) tours of duty, and a third (3rd) roving holiday after completing two hundred and seventy (270) tours of duty from his date of hire (seniority date). Thereafter, he/she will be entitled to three (3) roving holidays each calendar year. Any regular employee on layoff or extended illness who returns to work must work five (5) consecutive tours of duty or twenty (20) accumulated tours of duty in any calendar year to be entitled to rov- ing holidays. Roving holidays not used in a calendar year shall be paid to eligible regular employees at their applicable hourly rate, in the first pay period in January, if the employee has worked five (5) consec- utive tours or twenty (20) or more tours of duty in the prior calendar year.‌‌‌

  • Pay for Holidays Worked (a) When an employee is required to work on a designated holiday, the employee shall be paid compensation, or given compensatory time off, for such work at the rate of time and one-half the employee’s regular rate of pay, in addition to regular pay received for all hours worked for the holiday.

  • Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.

  • Floating Holidays In addition to the authorized days in 9.2. each employee, including each academic employee, shall be authorized two (2) floating holidays of his/her choice per fiscal year.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Statutory Holiday Pay Employees who qualify for statutory holiday pay shall be paid an average day's pay on the Statutory Holidays above, based on the following: amount paid / days worked. “Amount paid” is the amount earned by the employee for work done during the thirty (30) calendars day period preceding the statutory holiday, including vacation pay but excluding overtime pay. “Days worked” is the number of days the employee worked or earned wages during that thirty (30) calendar day period.

  • Compensation for Holidays Worked a. With the exception of the provisions in Section C.2.b., below, an employee required to work on a holiday listed above shall be paid at the employee's regular straight-time rate of pay for the hours actually worked. In addition, an eligible employee shall receive either compensatory time off or holiday pay at the option of the University at the regular straight-time rate, including any shift differential.

  • Public Holidays 11.1 The following days are public holidays: New Year's Day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and any other gazetted public holidays in the relevant state or territory in which the work is being performed, other than:

  • Time Off in Lieu of Overtime Employees who work overtime will not be required to take time off in regular hours to make up for overtime worked. Time off in lieu may be taken on a mutually agreed upon basis between the employee and the Hospital, such time off will be the equivalent of the premium rate the employee has earned for working overtime. The Hospital shall revert to payment of premium rate if time off is not taken within ninety (90) calendar days of the work week in which the overtime was earned or, with the employee’s agreement, within 12 months of that work week.

  • Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.
