Public Holidays Prescribed Holidays. A full-time employee under this Agreement is entitled to the following public holidays, without loss of pay: • New Year Day • Australia Day • Good Friday • Easter Saturday • Easter Monday • Anzac Day • Queen's Birthday • Labour Day • Christmas Day • Boxing Day • Where another day is generally observed in a locality in substitute for any of the above days, that day will be observed as the public holiday in lieu of the prescribed day. Public Holidays Prescribed Holidays. All employees (with the exception of casual employees) shall be entitled to observe public holidays without loss of pay. For the purposes of this clause the following days shall be observed as public holidays • New Year Day • Australia Day • Good Friday • Easter Saturday • Easter Monday • Anzac Day • Queen's Birthday • Labour Day or Eight Hours' Day • Christmas Day • Boxing Day • Where another day is generally observed in a locality in substitute for any of the above days, that day shall be observed as the public holiday in lieu of the prescribed day. In addition to the public holidays prescribed in 6.3, full-time and part time employees are entitled to one additional public holiday without loss of pay. The additional public holiday which applies in Queensland - the day gazetted for the local show in the appropriate area;

  • Public Holidays 11.1 The following days are public holidays: New Year's Day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and any other gazetted public holidays in the relevant state or territory in which the work is being performed, other than:

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Designated Holidays A part-time employee shall not be paid for the designated holidays but shall, instead be paid a premium of four and one-quarter (4.25%) per cent for all straight-time hours during the period of part-time employment.

  • PLANT HOLIDAYS 6.01 All employees covered by this Agreement will receive eight (8) hours pay at their regular straight time rates for each of the following Plant Holidays (regardless of the day on which the holiday falls) in addition to any wages which they may be in receipt of for work performed on such holidays:

  • STATUTORY HOLIDAYS 12.01 The following holidays shall be recognized as legal holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Dominion Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday

  • Named Holidays 18.01 (a) Regular and Temporary Full-time Employees shall be eligible to receive a day off with pay on or for the following Named Holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Alberta Family Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day August Civic Holiday and any day proclaimed to be a holiday by:

  • PAID HOLIDAYS 12.01 (a) A full-time employee who otherwise qualifies hereunder shall receive the following paid holidays: New Year's Day (Jan. 1st) Labour Day 3rd Monday in February Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Remembrance Day (Nov.11th) Good Friday Christmas Day (Dec. 25th) Victoria Day Boxing Day (Dec. 26th) Canada Day (July 1st) Civic Holiday

  • Weekend Holidays 9.3.1. A full-time employee who works a Monday through Friday schedule and the calendar holiday falls on a Saturday, the employee shall be allowed the preceding day off. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the employee shall be allowed the following day off. If the employee works the day preceding or following such a holiday, he/she shall be given another workday off with pay or shall receive payment for that day at the regular rate.

  • Religious Holidays When a religious holiday, not observed as a holiday, as provided in Section 2 above, falls on a supervisor's regularly scheduled work day, the supervisor shall be entitled to that day off to observe the religious holiday. Time to observe religious holidays shall be taken without pay except where the supervisor has sufficient accumulated vacation leave or accumulated compensatory time, or, by mutual consent, is able to make the time up. Supervisors shall notify the Appointing Authority at least twenty-eight (28) calendar days prior to the leave.
