Public Health Nurse. Employees in the classification of Public Health Nurse (XXVA) and Public Health Nurse – Project (VVXI) with one (1) or more years of permanent County service shall be entitled to twenty-four (24) hours leave with pay each calendar year to attend Board of Registered Nurses approved continuing education courses, workshops, or classes. Employees in these classifications may carry over education leave with the maximum carryover not to exceed forty-eight (48) hours per calendar year. This carryover will be granted without restriction.
Public Health Nurse. A registered nurse who is a graduate of (1) a baccalaureate program in nursing accredited by the National League of Nursing or (2) an approved diploma school of nursing who has been employed by the Bay County Health Department for over five (5) years and has assumed district responsibilities.

Related to Public Health Nurse

  • Public Health Public Health activities and reporting to the extent permitted by Applicable Law.

  • Health Promotion and Health Education Both parties to this Agreement recognize the value and importance of health promotion and health education programs. Such programs can assist employees and their dependents to maintain and enhance their health, and to make appropriate use of the health care system. To work toward these goals:

  • Public Hearings If public hearings on the scope of work are held during the period of the Agreement, Contractor will make available to testify the personnel assigned to this Agreement. The Energy Commission will reimburse Contractor for compensation and travel of the personnel at the Agreement rates for the testimony which the Energy Commission requests.

  • Health & Safety (a) The Employer and the Union agree that they mutually desire to maintain standards of safety and health in the Home, in order to prevent injury and illness and abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act as amended from time to time.

  • Occupational Health & Safety (a) It is a mutual interest of the parties to promote health and safety in workplaces and to prevent and reduce the occurrence of workplace injuries and occupational diseases. The parties agree that health and safety is of the utmost importance and agree to promote health and safety and wellness throughout the organization. The employer shall provide orientation and training in health and safety to new and current employees on an ongoing basis, and employees shall attend required health and safety training sessions. Accordingly, the parties fully endorse the responsibilities of employer and employee under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, making particular reference to the following:

  • Public Hearing 7. In the course of each proceeding, the competent investigating authority shall:

  • Health Leave Any regular employee of the District may, at the discretion of the Board, be granted a leave of absence without pay for reasons of health, such leave to be specified for a period of not more than one year. Such leave may be extended in case of serious health conditions.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act The Employer, the Union and the employees agree to be bound by the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, S.N.S. 1996, c.7.

  • Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace City reserves the right to deny access to, or require Contractor to remove from, City facilities personnel of any Contractor or subcontractor who City has reasonable grounds to believe has engaged in alcohol abuse or illegal drug activity which in any way impairs City's ability to maintain safe work facilities or to protect the health and well-being of City employees and the general public. City shall have the right of final approval for the entry or re-entry of any such person previously denied access to, or removed from, City facilities. Illegal drug activity means possessing, furnishing, selling, offering, purchasing, using or being under the influence of illegal drugs or other controlled substances for which the individual lacks a valid prescription. Alcohol abuse means possessing, furnishing, selling, offering, or using alcoholic beverages, or being under the influence of alcohol.

  • Occupational Safety and Health Acts Contractor(s) who perform any work under this contract shall fully comply with the provisions of the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 and any amendments thereto and regulations pursuant to the act. Any Contractor who fails to do so may be terminated for cause as set forth below.
