- PROTECTION OF SUBSCRIBER PRIVACY. (a) The Licensee shall respect the rights of privacy of every Subscriber and/or User of the Cable Television System and shall not violate such rights through the use of any device or Signal associated with the Cable Television System, and as hereafter provided.

At the time of entering into an agreement to provide any cable service or other service to a subscriber and at least once a year thereafter, the Franchisee shall provide notice in the form of a separate, written statement to such subscriber that clearly and conspicuously informs the subscriber of:

The Licensee shall have the right to take reasonable steps consistent with applicable laws to avoid the unauthorized reception, use or interception of any of Licensee’s services, including, but not limited to, prohibiting and removing any unauthorized instrument, apparatus, equipment or device, which is designed, adapted, intended, or used to receive, use, intercept or fraudulently obtain any of Licensee’s services, in violation of law or any of Licensee’s rights under this License or any other agreement or instrument, and nothing herein shall be construed or is intended to limit, restrict or interfere with Licensee’s right to secure its system and to offer services only to duly authorized customers.
