Productivity Incentive/Class Averaging Sample Clauses

Productivity Incentive/Class Averaging. If an instructor has an average of 45 students per class, nine (9) above the current average of 36, or a total of 225 students for the semester, he/she shall be allowed to teach the total 225 students in no fewer than four separate classes. If an instructor has an average of 30 students per class or greater (150 students per semester), he/she shall be allowed to teach one class which does not meet the minimum enrollment of 22 (5 class minimum and 15 unit load if 3 unit classes) provided he/she still has 150 students. This agreement does not change the contract language requiring 22 students as minimum class enrollment. The District agrees that all reassigned time (except for negotiated reassigned time for the dues-paying collective bargaining group, whether that be the current Faculty Association or some other dues paying collective bargaining group, such as AFT, or the Teamsters, etc.) or an exception approved by the Chancellor can only be accepted by or given to academic employees as stipends. These stipends will be based on OSH pay rates and hourly wages calculated from OSH on top of faculty basic workload of 15 LHEs per semester of teaching, counseling, librarian, or nonteaching work. These stipend OSH rates will be in effect for both district funded and "soft" (grant) money funded stipends. To meet this load, all teachers will teach 15 LHEs per semester, all counselors will counsel 15 LHEs per semester (i.e. counsel 30 hours per week), and librarians do librarian work 15 LHEs per semester (i.e. do librarian work 30 hours per week). Librarians and counselors sometimes will have teaching combination responsibilities as well but all of these will be measured as 15 LHEs. Xxxxxxxx will be taken to the Board at only two monthly meetings which are July and December.
