Probationary Increase. 24.6 Employees who successfully complete probation and who have not yet reached the Journey Level Salary Rate shall automatically advance to the prescribed Journey Level wage rate effective the first pay period after passing probation. Effective the first pay period after ratification of this successor agreement by both parties, any permanent employee who has previously passed probation and has not yet reached the Journey Level wage rate shall also receive an increase to raise their salary to the Journey Level wage rate.

Probationary Increase. Upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period after hire or rehire, promotion, transfer, or demotion the employee’s entrance pay step shall be advanced one (1) step to the next highest step in the pay grade for the class to which the employee’s position is allocated. The probationary period may be extended and probationary step increase withheld until successful completion of probation. Exceptions are:
Probationary Increase. Employees hired or promoted at the minimum of the pay range are eligible for a merit increase ofup to 4.3% after their first six months of employment. Subsequent range movement will be on the anniversary date and then every twelve months thereafter in accordance with paragraphs two through eight above.

  • Anniversary Increments Employees shall advance on the wage grid on their anniversary date in the classification.

  • Step Increases (a) The following is the method used to determine service credit, since the last date of hire, for purposes of positioning on the salary range:

  • Extension of Probationary Period The probationary period shall not be extended except in the case of extended illness or injury or compelling personal situation during which time the employee was unable to work. In such cases, the probationary period may be extended for the length of time the ill or injured employee was unable to work.

  • Step Increase Employees shall move to the next step of the salary schedule, only when agreed to specifically by parties in contract negotiations. If a step increase is provided, it shall be granted to those employees who receive an overall performance evaluation rating of “Effective” or higher. An employee who receives an overall performance evaluation of less than “Effective” shall not be eligible for the Board approved step increase; however, if the affected employee receives an overall performance evaluation of “Effective” or higher for the succeeding year he/she shall be granted the withheld step but not on a retroactive basis.

  • Wage Increase 1. The minimum hourly wage amounts in the salary table in column I (job grades 1 up to and includ- ing 3) concern the statutory minimum wage and are adjusted in the event of an increase in the statutory minimum wage.
