Merit Increase. (a) Materials to support merit recommendations shall be submitted with materials provided for the annual evaluation of the employee, in accordance with Articles 8.2.c., 8.2.d., and 9.1.

Merit Increase. An increase from one pay step to another based on satisfactory performance, progress, and productivity.
Merit Increase. Employee shall be eligible for a merit increase of not more than 5% based on an annual performance evaluation conducted by the Town Council. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Employee’s salary will not exceed the adopted salary range for the Town Manager as it may be amended from time to time. In addition, the Town Council may, in its sole discretion, consider granting to Employee as part of or in lieu of a merit-based pay increase, up to 40 hours of additional comprehensive leave time.

Each step represents a five percent (5%) increase in salary above the previous step.  Step 1 shall be paid upon initial employment except when a higher step in a salary range is authorized under Article 7.6 of this Memorandum.  Step 2 shall be authorized upon receiving an overall rating equivalent to satisfactory, or above, after completion of twenty-six (26) pay periods of employment at Step 1.  Step 3 shall be authorized upon receiving an overall rating equivalent to satisfactory, or above, after completion of twenty six (26) pay periods of employment at Step 2.  Step 4 shall be authorized upon receiving an overall rating equivalent to satisfactory, or above, after completion of twenty six (26) pay periods of employment at Step 3.  Step 5 shall be authorized upon receiving an overall rating equivalent to satisfactory, or above, after completion of twenty six (26) pay periods of employment at Step 4.  Nothing in this section should be construed to prevent any pay for performance strategies.

Merit Increase. Department Management will maintain records of merit increase recommendations and will notify employees in writing of decisions to recommend denial of merit increases.

Merit Increase. 20:01 The granting of merit increases shall be contingent upon a full-time, part-time or Support Worker (Relief) employee having performed her duties in a satisfactory fashion. The merit increase shall be granted on an employee’s anniversary date. A Youth Care Worker shall be eligible for a merit increase based upon satisfactory performance and a continuation of the course work as detailed in the employee’s letter of offer.
Merit Increase. Not Automatic‌ Merit increases within a scale shall not be automatic. They shall be based upon merit and shall be made only upon written approval by the County. Merit increases shall be made within the appropriate salary scale for the class by advancing the employee to the new salary step rate which is most closely equivalent to five percent (5%) higher than the previous base hourly salary.
Merit Increase. Merit increases are not automatic. At the time an employee is evaluated for a longevity increase an employee is also eligible for consideration for a merit increase. The merit increase is reserved for that small percent of employees who are demonstrating superior job performance by working above and beyond their job description or producing a volume of work in excess of what is normally expected from someone in an employee’s job classification.
