This study was conducted to describe the functions, types, and reasons in using switching and mixing languages. The data in this study were qualitatively descriptive, and the subject was the teacher. The explanation teachers used code-mixing in teaching English, and the applied code-mixing type are similar in this study and the research mentioned above. But this research describes the type of code-mixing used, and when code-mixing is produced by the teachers, with a different setting and approach, this research employed phenomenology in qualitative research.
