The Plant Material clause defines the terms and conditions governing the supply, quality, and ownership of plant materials used in a project or transaction. It typically specifies the types of plant materials to be provided, standards for their health and suitability, and responsibilities for delivery, inspection, and replacement if materials are found defective or unsuitable. Plant Material a. Generally, plant material should repeat the existing campus palette. Use of native plant material where possible is encouraged.
b. AVOID THE USE OF PLANT MATERIAL WITH EXCESSIVE MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS.
Plant Material. 2.5.1 Plant materials shall be freshly dug vigorous plants of specimen quality, exceptionally heavy, symmetrical, thickly branched, tightly knit plants, true to species and variety and conforming to the measurements specified in Section 1.1. All plants shall be free of disease, insect pests, eggs or larvae, and shall have healthy, well balanced and thickly developed root systems, be matched specimens from a single block source and shall not be pruned before delivery.
2.5.2 Plant materials shall conform to the guideline standards for name, shape and quality established by the "Standardized Plant Names", 1942 Edition, American Joint Committee on Horticultural Nomenclature and the "American Standard for Nursery Stock", 1996 Edition, American Association of Nurserymen. Tree caliper measurements shall be taken at a point on the trunk 6 inches above natural ground line for trees up to and including 4 inches caliper size and at a point 12 inches above the natural ground line for larger size trees. If a range of sizes is given, no plant shall be less than the minimum size and not less than 50% of the plants shall be as large as the average size specified. No change in quality, quantity, species, variety or sex of plants from those specified will be permitted without the written approval the County.
2.5.3 All plant materials shall be labeled with durable, legible labels stating the correct plant name (botanical and common name from the contract documents) and size in weather-resistant ink or embossed process capable of remaining readable at least two years.
Plant Material. A. Plant material such as sod and other vegetation will only be required under this contract if it is damaged during the Project.
Plant Material. E25.9.1 Type of root preparation, sizing, grading and quality: comply to Canadian Standards for Nursery Stock.
E25.9.2 Source of plant material: grown in Zone 3 only in accordance with Plant Hardiness Zones in Canada.
E25.9.3 Plant material must be planted in zone indicated as appropriate for its species.
E25.9.4 Plant material free of disease, insects, defects or injuries and structurally sound with strong fibrous root system.
E25.9.5 Substitutions to plant material as indicated on planting plan are not permitted unless written approval has been obtained as to type, variety and size. Plant substitutions must be of similar species and of equal size as those originally specified.
Plant Material. 358 accessions from the French Guiana collection and 52 from the Nicaragua collection were analyzed in this study. Details on the accessions are given in Table ‘List of Material Vgetal analyzed in the study’. The accessions named ‘Active’ correponded to the plants for what the country of origin and the groups is well- known.
Plant Material. In accordance with TACF protocols, the CT Chapter shall provide seeds or seedlings, shall conduct pollination activities, and shall collect seed for planting. The parties understand the goal and objective of this GCO is to produce chestnut seeds for planting projects directed by TACF, and that ***LANDOWNER*** will have no ownership interest in the chestnut seeds, timber, firewood, or plant material.
