Parental Leave/Adoption Leave. Both mothers and fathers, natural and adopting, are entitled, upon completion of the initial probation period (waived for adopting parents) to parental leave without pay providing a written request is submitted to the Employer no later than four weeks prior to the commencement of the leave. If four weeks' notice is not possible due to unforeseeable circumstances, the request must be submitted immediately after the need for leave becomes known.
