Parental Leave/Adoption Leave. (a) An employee who has been employed with the University for at least one (1) year, and who becomes a parent of one or more children, is entitled to an unpaid leave of absence of up to seventy-seven (77) weeks. An employee who has completed pregnancy leave will only be entitled to an additional sixty- one (61) weeks of unpaid parental leave. Parental/adoption leave benefits are available for a parent in accordance with the applicable legislation.
