Common use of Paid Bereavement Leave Clause in Contracts

Paid Bereavement Leave. (a) An Employee shall be granted up to five (5) regularly scheduled consecutive work days without loss of salary in the case of the death or serious illness of the Employee's father, mother, step-father, step-mother, husband, wife, common-law spouse, son, daughter, step-son, step- daughter, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister.

Paid Bereavement Leave. (a) An Employee employee shall be granted up to five a maximum of three (53) regularly scheduled consecutive work days leave, without loss of salary pay or benefits, in the case of the death or serious illness of the Employee's fathera parent, motherspouse, step-father, step-mother, husband, wife, common-common law spouse, son, daughter, step-son, step- daughter, brother, sister, stepchild, step child, xxxxxx child, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, step-sisterspouse's grandparent, grandparent, grandchild or fiancée.

Paid Bereavement Leave. (a) An Employee shall be granted up to bereavement leave for five (5) regularly scheduled consecutive work working days, provided the days are taken within seven (7) days of the death, without loss of salary pay and benefits in the case of the death or serious illness of the Employee's father, mother, step-father, step-mother, husband, wife, following members of their immediate family: - spouse and common-law spouse, son, daughter, - parent or step-sonparent (parent includes guardian, step- daughterxxxxxx parent and any person(s) standing in (loco parentis), brother, sister, - child or step-brother, step-sisterchild.
