No Layoff to Compensate for Overtime. Employees shall not be required to accept a reduction in their scheduled hours to equalize any overtime worked. However, the employee may request supervisory approval for time-off in lieu of overtime at the applicable overtime rate and such a request shall not be unreasonably denied, or the employee shall have the option to request pay-out of banked overtime. An employee's bank of compensating time off shall not exceed thirty-five (35) hours.
