A teacher in grades 67-12 shall be assigned a maximum of one hundred sixty-five (165) 165 students per day, subject to any applicable overload payment provided in Article 2517 below. Except as provided below, such teachers shall have a maximum of threethree (3) preparations within a curriculum area per day except in self-contained classrooms. Teachers assigned to teach in two or more curriculum areas will be assigned a maximum of three (3) preparations. Teacher preparations will be assigned in the best interests of the students and teacher.
