Materials and Contracts. (i) Allowable costs of direct materials shall be determined by Princeton University. Reasonable and allocable material handling costs may be included in the charge for material to the extent they are clearly excluded from the hourly rate. Material handling costs are comprised of indirect costs, including, when appropriate, general administrative expense allocated to direct materials in accordance with the Contractor's usual accounting practices. The Contractor shall be reimbursed for items and services purchased directly for the Contract only when cash, checks, or other forms of actual payment have been made for such purchased items or services. Direct materials, as used in this Clause, are those materials that enter directly into the end product, or that are used or consumed directly in connection with the furnishing of the end product.

  • Materials and Equipment ‌ Material means property that may be consumed or expended during performance, component parts of a higher assembly, or items that lose their individual identity through incorporation into an end item. Equipment means a tangible item that is functionally complete for its intended purpose, durable, nonexpendable, and needed for performance. Materials and Equipment shall be priced in accordance with the terms of the task order award, contract type, and applicable FAR and agency-specific regulatory supplements. Unless otherwise directed by task order terms and conditions, the Contractor may apply indirect costs to materials and equipment consistent with the Contractor’s usual accounting practices.

  • Solicitations for Subcontracts, Including Procurement of Materials and Equipment In all solicitation, either by competitive bidding or negotiation, made by the Contractor for work to be performed under a subcontract, including procurement of materials or leases of equipment, each potential Subcontractor or supplier shall be notified by the Contractor of the Contractor’s obligations under this Agreement and the Regulations relative to non-discrimination on the grounds of race, color, or national origin.

  • MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP Unless otherwise specified, all materials and equipment incorporated in the work under the Contract shall be new. All workmanship shall be first class and by persons qualified in the respective trades.
