LAY-OFFS AND RECALLS. 10.01 The Board agrees that in the event of a lay-off, employees shall be laid off according to seniority and classification [with the most junior employee(s) in the affected classification(s) to be laid off first], provided the remaining employees have the ability to do the job and meet the qualifications for the job.
