In-Service Probation Period Upon Promotion or Transfer. A promoted or transferred employee will be on in-service probation during the first six (6) months of the promotion or transfer to determine suitability in the position. If an employee does not prove satisfactory in the new position, the Employer shall place the employee in a position at the same pay level as the employee's former class, without loss of seniority. Effective 2003 July 17, where a promoted or transferred employee is absent for ten (10) or more working days during the in-service probationary period, the in- service probationary period shall be extended by the number of days absent exceeding ten (10) working days.
