Common use of HOURS AND WORK WEEK Clause in Contracts

HOURS AND WORK WEEK. The normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, consisting of ten (10) consecutive hours per day (exclusive of lunch break) during four (4) consecutive days commencing with the first hour and day of the employee’s regularly assigned workweek and shift. The City has the right to adjust the normal work week of employees such that employees work eight (8) consecutive hours per day (exclusive of lunch break) during five (5) consecutive days commencing with the first hour and day of the employees normally assigned work week and shift. The official workweek shall begin on each Sunday at 00:01 hours, and shall end at 24:00 hours on the following Saturday.
