The purpose of this investigation was to collect detailed information pertaining to the soils, bedrock, and groundwater conditions on the site and to provide recommendations for the replacement of the existing structure. The new structure is anticipated to be a buried precast box culvert or concrete arch structure supported by concrete strip footings. The purpose of this investigation was to collect detailed information pertaining to the soils and groundwater conditions on the site and to provide recommendations for the foundation for a 10-meter single span bridge that is to act as the temporary crossing structure for the temporary detour on the Old Route #2 Road.
