A FOIPP Clause is a contractual provision that ensures compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIPP) legislation. This clause typically requires parties to handle, store, and disclose personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, often mandating specific security measures and procedures for responding to information requests. Its core function is to protect sensitive personal data and ensure that all parties meet their legal obligations regarding privacy and information access, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized disclosure or legal non-compliance.
