Grievance/ Arbitration Expenses. A. All fees and expenses of the arbitrator shall be shared equally by the parties. Each party will bear its own expenses of representation and presentation of its case, including witnesses, and including the cost of any transcript for the party's own use. All expenses associated with an individual employee grievance and/or arbitration which has not been approved by the Union shall be paid by the employee.

If your claims seek less than $75,000 in the aggregate, the payment of the AAA’s fees and costs will be our responsibility. Notwithstanding anything in this Arbitration Provision to the contrary, we will pay all fees and costs that it is required by law to pay.

  • GRIEVANCE AND ARBITRATION PROCEDURE 8.01 The parties to this agreement believe it is important to adjust complaints and grievances as quickly as possible as provided for herein. The employee or Union shall first discuss any individual complaint informally with the Director of Care or designate at the first opportunity.

If such individuals are employees of the City, they shall be compensated at their usual rate of pay for any time spent traveling to or from, and attending the arbitration hearing.
