General Employee Rights. ‌ The Illinois Uniform Peace Officers Disciplinary Act (UPODA), 50 ILCS 725/1 et. seq. as amended, is hereby adopted by reference.

General Employee Rights. A. In an atmosphere of mutual respect, all employees shall be treated fairly and equitably and without discrimination in regard to their political affiliation, union activity, race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, age, or non- disqualifying handicapping conditions irrespective of the work performed or grade assigned. Employees will also be afforded proper regard for and protection of their privacy and constitutional rights The Parties agree that employees have workplace rights and responsibilities. Employees have workplace rights as defined in 5 U.S. Code § 7102 and applicable laws, government-wide rules, regulations and Department policy. For purposes of this Agreement, the term “Department policy” shall be defined as directives, handbooks or regulations issued by the Secretary or designee. The Department may change policy during the term of this Agreement. Subject to these rights, employees are expected to follow the direction of management.

  • EMPLOYEE RIGHTS The County shall not hinder or discipline an employee for exercising any rights or benefits provided in the Memorandum of Understanding.

  • Returning Employee Rights Employees returning from authorized leave without pay will be employed in the same position or in another position in the same job classification, as determined by the Employer, provided that such reemployment is not in conflict with other articles in this Agreement. The employee and the Employer may enter into a written agreement regarding return rights at the commencement of the leave.

  • Essential Employees Every employee designated as “essential,” shall receive notice of such designation each year, by October 31, in accordance with N.J.A.C. 4A:6-2. Notice of such designations will also be provided to the Union.

  • Provisional Employees A second year Provisional classroom teacher who receives a summative rating of 3- Proficient or 4- Distinguished may be granted continuing contract status for the subsequent school year at the district’s discretion.

  • Casual Employee Casual employee means a part-time employee who is not normally scheduled to work but who may be called in to work to provide coverage as required.

  • Casual Employment (a) A casual employee is an employee engaged as such on an hourly basis.
