Common use of Fireproofing Clause in Contracts

Fireproofing. On any job when direct-to-steel fireproofing is to be applied, there shall be two (2) Plasterers for each spray nozzle used. The Plasterer on the nozzle shall not apply fireproofing materials for more than one (1) hour without relief by the other Plasterers. Any job using not more than one hundred (100) sacks of fireproofing material per eight (8) hour day shall be exempt from the provisions of this Section. Also, the Individual Employer shall furnish approved fireproofing protective clothing and ear covering. Journeyperson and Apprentice Plasterers may cover, clean and prepare material if called upon to do so on fireproofing jobs. On all fireproofing jobs, the Individual Employer shall make sure that there is one Hod Carrier or Plasterer per nozzle on the ground to monitor the scaffold and the hose.
