Common use of Fair Employment Practice Clause in Contracts

Fair Employment Practice. The employer may discharge any employee for cause which may be deemed sufficient provided there shall be no discrimination for any reasons including race, color, creed or gender on the part of the employer against any employees. In the event of discharge or lay off, the employee shall be notified no later than twenty (20) minutes before the end of the work shift. The employee must be paid in full at the time of lay off or discharge. The employer and the union shall work together cooperatively to make reasonable accommodation to an employee’s physical or mental disability or medical condition.
