Common use of Emergency Call-In Pay Clause in Contracts

Emergency Call-In Pay. If by the determination of the officer in charge there exists an emergency situation requiring the call-in of off-duty employees, there shall be at least five (5) individuals called in, regardless of rank. These called in employees shall be paid for a minimum of four hours pay to be computed at their respective hourly rate. The employee to be called in should be the employee most able to respond in the least amount of time. The time worked as emergency call-in time shall not be included in employee’s total hours on overtime list. It shall not be a violation of this paragraph if the emergency is terminated before five (5) members are called, or in case the officer in charge determines that he/she needs a person with some specific expertise.
