Common use of Education & Assistance Fund Clause in Contracts

Education & Assistance Fund. The Employer shall remit two cents ($0.02) per hour worked for each employee in the Union’s bargaining unit into the Union’s Education and Assistance Fund to a maximum of one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125.00) per year. The payment shall be made to the Union on the last full pay of the current year. The Union will deposit these education fund monies into a trusted Education Fund, the purpose of which is to pay for employee seminars and workshops, including wage loss payments, travel and accommodation costs. Such seminars and workshops will deal with topics such as:
