Earth Excavation. Earth excavation shall include all excavation of whatever substance encountered, except rock excavation, as further provided for in these Specifications. In locations where pipe is to be bedded in earth excavated trenches, the bottom of such trenches shall be fine graded to allow firm bearing for the bottom of the pipe on undisturbed earth. The trench shall be completed in a manner which will offer a smooth, continuous support to the entire length of the pipeline. All sharp objects such as rocks, glass, etc., shall be removed from the trench or the trench shall be imbedded with sand. Where any part of the trench has been excavated below the grade of the trench, the part excavated below such grade shall be filled in with bank sand and compacted at the Contractor's expense.

Earth Excavation. Any excavated earth and / or materials to be moved by Purchaser during construction shall be moved to an area directed by the Authority. If the Authority has no need for excavated earth and / or materials and so informs Purchaser in writing of same, Purchaser shall have the right to move excavated earth anywhere it desires, so long as the owner of that land approves the move.

SPS-5 Item 2.2 SPCD-B2 REMOVALS - ASPHALT In addition to the conditions stipulated in the Niagara Peninsula Standard Contract Document, the following shall also apply. OPSS 510 applies to this item. The unit price bid for these items shall include sawcutting, excavation, separation of material, backfilling with Granular ‘A’ and reinstating to existing conditions all areas of removals unless the applicable items are included in the schedule of quantities. Thickness of asphalt will vary. No additional compensation will be made for the various depths of asphalt.   • Excavation If an excavation shall be made upon land adjacent to the Leased Premises, or shall be authorized to be made, Tenant shall afford to the person causing or authorized to cause such excavation, license to enter upon the Leased Premises for the purpose of doing such work as said person shall deem necessary to preserve the wall or the building of which the Leased Premises form a part from injury or damage and to support the same by proper foundation, without any claim for damages or indemnity from Landlord, or diminution or abatement of Rent.

  • ADJACENT EXCAVATION-SHORING 32.   • MAINTENANCE OF THE BUILDING /APARTMENT / PROJECT The Promoter shall be responsible to provide and maintain essential services in the Project till the taking over of the maintenance of the project by the Association upon the issuance of the completion certificate of the Project. The cost of such maintenance has been included in the Total Extras and Deposits as mentioned in clause 1.2.

  • Surface  Grade and shape the road surface, turnouts, and shoulders to the original shape on the TYPICAL SECTION SHEET. Inslope or outslope as directed to provide a smooth, rut-free traveled surface and maintain surface water runoff in an even, unconcentrated manner.  Blading shall not undercut the backslope or cut into geotextile fabric on the road.  If required by the Contract Administrator, water shall be applied as necessary to control dust and retain fine surface rock.  Surface material shall not be bladed off the roadway. Replace surface material when lost or worn away, or as directed by the Contract Administrator.  Remove shoulder berms, created by grading, to facilitate drainage, except as marked or directed by the Contract Administrator.  For roads with geotextile fabric: spread surface aggregate to fill in soft spots and wheel ruts (barrel spread) to prevent damage to the geotextile fabric.

  • Underground Storage Tanks In accordance with the requirements of Section 3(g) of the D.C. Underground Storage Tank Management Act of 1990, as amended by the District of Columbia Underground Storage Tank Management Act of 1990 Amendment Act of 1992 (D.C. Code § 8-113.01, et seq.) (collectively, the “UST Act”) and the applicable D.C. Underground Storage Tank Regulations, 20 DCMR Chapter 56 (the “UST Regulations”), District hereby informs the Developer that it has no knowledge of the existence or removal during its ownership of the Property of any “underground storage tanks” (as defined in the UST Act). Information pertaining to underground storage tanks and underground storage tank removals of which the D.C. Government has received notification is on file with the District Department of the Environment, Underground Storage Tank Branch, 00 X Xxxxxx, X.X., Xxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxxxxxx, X.X., 00000, telephone (000) 000-0000. District’s knowledge for purposes of this Section shall mean and be limited to the actual knowledge of Xxxxxx Xxxxx, Property Acquisition and Disposition Division of the Department of Housing and Community Development, telephone no.   • Underground Tanks If underground or other storage tanks storing Hazardous Materials located on the Premises or the Project are used by Tenant or are hereafter placed on the Premises or the Project by Tenant, Tenant shall install, use, monitor, operate, maintain, upgrade and manage such storage tanks, maintain appropriate records, obtain and maintain appropriate insurance, implement reporting procedures, properly close any underground storage tanks, and take or cause to be taken all other actions necessary or required under applicable state and federal Legal Requirements, as such now exists or may hereafter be adopted or amended in connection with the installation, use, maintenance, management, operation, upgrading and closure of such storage tanks.
