Earning Entitlement and Employment Conditions. (a) Once the application has been approved in accordance with 15.02 (a), the employee shall be able to defer twenty–five percent (25%) of his/her salary for the purpose of funding a sabbatical leave. Any self-funded leave of absence will be in accordance with the deferred tax legislation and rulings by Canada Customs & Revenue Agency. * The deferral of salary will be done by Payroll through a deduction from the employee’s pay. * Employees will continue to be entitled to their same level of insured benefits during the deferral period.
