Illness/injury is defined as an illness or injury that requires home bound care pursuant to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in-patient care standards at a medical facility or has a diagnosis and I or is in treatment that requires absence from work according to the provisions of FMLA, and/or extended medical leave with documentation from the treating physician. The illness or accident cannot be a result of an illegal act by the employee.
