Distribution of Additional Work Hours. All work hours, that become available after the schedule is posted, will be distributed, first at a straight- time rate then at an overtime or premium rate, based upon a list of employees with bargaining unit seniority on a rotational basis. The most senior person on the bargaining unit seniority list who is qualified, and responds within a reasonable amount of time, will be offered additional work hours first. Steps taken to distribute additional hours will be documented.

Distribution of Additional Work Hours. Regular Employees shall be offered available additional hours prior to Casual Employees. All known additional hours, including vacation hours applied for outside the annual vacation process, will be offered to Regular Employees in order of seniority. For example, if there are four (4) known shifts available, these shifts shall be offered to the senior employees who may select all four shifts or a portion of the four (4) full shifts. Additional hours not claimed will be offered to Casual Employees. This process shall continue until all additional hours are claimed or unwanted. Additional shifts will not result in overtime.

  • Payment of Additional Costs If termination of this contract is due to the failure of the Engineer to fulfill its contract obligations, the State may take over the project and prosecute the work to completion, and the Engineer shall be liable to the State for any additional cost to the State.
