Vacation Process. It is the sole responsibility of the You to text or email the FO when you have FULLY vacated the storage unit(s) ensuring no rubbish is left anywhere on site. Refer to the clear instructions on the inside of the door to your storage unit. This will ensure the smooth return of the deposit to the You. PLEASE NOTE – any notice to vacate falls away after 7 days if the unit remains full and a new notice is required to vacate.
Vacation Process. Fire Dispatchers Only Vacation for Fire dispatchers will begin January 1 and continue through December 31 in the same year. To maintain adequate staffing within the Fire Communications Bureau, the following process shall be used: - No more than 50% of the total number of assigned Fire dispatchers on that shift may be off at one time. However, if the result has a decimal point (e.g., 2.5), that number is rounded down to the number of dispatchers to be working on the shift. (Example: if the total number of dispatchers is 5, 50% is 2.5. Therefore, 2 dispatchers would be on the schedule, and 3 would be allowed off.) - Vacations shall be selected by Fire Communications Bureau seniority within that shift. - For the purpose of this section, vacation is the total days of accrued vacation, holiday, Bonus, discretionary vacation, and discretionary holiday. - First round of picks: Each dispatcher shall choose ten (10) days (if available) - Second round: Half of the remaining vacation days - Third round: The remaining days left for each dispatcher All vacation days selected by the dispatcher shall be entered in the vacation book on the appropriate page and initialed by the dispatcher. This process of vacation selection shall be started by the first week of December, or earlier, if the schedule is ready. Vacation picks shall be completed by December 31, keeping in mind that the Bonus Day total may be affected due to additional, unforeseen sick time usage. After the vacation selection process is completed, vacation days may be changed by the dispatcher. The 50% rule regarding the number of dispatchers allowed off on a shift, as noted above, still applies.
Vacation Process. (i) A twelve (12) month vacation calendar will be posted by October 1 to allow each nurse the ability to view their vacation entitlement and the unit’s vacation quotas. The Employer will personally contact each nurse so that they can indicate their vacation requests for the calendar year in order of seniority. Each nurse will be permitted twenty-four (24) hours to complete their requests starting with the most senior nurse. Approved requests will not be changed once submitted. Vacation requests will be approved and granted on the basis of seniority. In normal tour units only plus Dialysis, a request for vacation that results in seven consecutive calendar days being off will be considered prior to a request for single days. Where single vacation days are requested and not approved, the Employer will personally contact each nurse so that they can indicate their single day vacation requests for the calendar year in order of seniority. Each nurse will be permitted with fifteen (15) minutes to complete their requests starting with the most senior. Nurses who do not complete their request during their allotted time frame will have their request considered after all other nurses have had the opportunity to submit their requests and approval has been posted.
(ii) Authorized time off will be posted by December 1.
(iii) Once an employee has indicated a preferred vacation period, she or he may not exercise seniority rights to change this stated period.
(iv) If a nurse is on days off, off ill, or on a vacation or LOA longer than twenty-four (24) hours, the nurse shall leave her or his vacation request in order of preference with the Unit Manager before commencing time off.

After the end of February, vacations may be requested for any open periods on a first come, first served basis. Vacations are to be taken between January 1 and December 31 at a time mutually agreed upon by the employee and Management. Vacations may be restricted during peak periods. Vacation pay will calculated as follows: Vacation weeks entitlement pay = regular pay in force at time taken Equivalent percentage of previous calendar years gross earnings For an employee who has been absent from work in excess of sixty (60) days during the year, only the above-noted percentage calculation shall apply.

Should requests not be submitted in accordance with the prescribed timeframes, the employee shall have their vacation scheduled by their Supervisor based on operational suitability. Vacations are to be taken between January 1 and December 31. Vacation pay will calculated as follows: Vacation weeks entitlement pay = regular pay in force at time taken OR Equivalent percentage of previous calendar years gross earnings If an employee is absent from work due to a Worker’s Compensation claim, Short or Long Term Disability, Maternity, or Parental Leave, vacation with pay is calculated as if there was no leave taken during the calendar year (to a maximum of 2 years).
Vacation Process. (a) The vacation selection and bidding at each base shall be organized by the Base Engineer, and on an amicable basis, where there is a conflict it will be resolved as per 30.05 (b) below.
(b) Where a Base Engineer cannot resolve a conflict between the individuals’ date selection(s), the bidding for vacation will be in accordance with the date of hire seniority.
Vacation Process. On a PBC Service Date basis, vacation requests must be submitted by the end of February each year. A holiday schedule will be posted and available for viewing at all times. By the end of January, a notice will be posted advising of vacation selection in February. The vacation selection process will have three rounds: Round 1: pick first two weeks of vacation Round 2: pick remaining weeks of vacations Round 3: a paper-based process to handle changing of scheduled weeks and/or select from available/non-scheduled weeks. Vacations are to be taken between January 1 and December 31 (excluding the load up week prior to Christmas) at a time mutually agreed upon by the employee and Management. Vacations may be restricted during peak periods. Peak periods are the week leading into May long weekend inclusive through September 30 and the full week prior to Christmas. If any weeks are left available during peak periods, employees can request that time given two (2) weeks’ notice before the requested week. All remaining vacation must be scheduled between September 1, and September 30 for use balance of calendar year. Any remaining vacation days that have not been scheduled after September 30, will be allocated by the discretion of Management.
