Common use of Death in Family Clause in Contracts

Death in Family. In the event of a death in the immediate family, an allowance of up to four (4) days leave shall be granted. Immediate family will be defined as grandparent, parent, siblings, spouse, child, stepchild, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, and father- in-law. This leave may be extended by use of personal leave provided for in Section B.3. of this Article.
