Common use of Death in Family Clause in Contracts

Death in Family. Upon approval of the Superintendent of Schools, eligible bargaining unit 42 members will be granted four (4) days of leave with full pay during each school year for the 43 purposes of bereavement upon each death of a member of the employee's family and close 44 relatives, and spouse's family and close relatives. For purposes of this section, four (4) 45 days shall mean four (4) work days. Such leave shall not be cumulative and shall not be 46 charged against sick leave.

Death in Family.
