CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION. Teaching/learning advisory team will establish standard year 1 and year 2 implementation expectations for new curriculum. • Teaching/learning advisory group will review the long term curriculum adoption/implementation plan. • Administrators or team leads will have access to new curriculum as soon as is possible to prepare for implementation. • Teacher and administrator surveys will be utilized to receive feedback on new curriculum. • Similarities/differences between prior and new curriculums will be highlighted during professional development. • The District will prioritize professional development time around new curriculum implementation. Communication: • Both the Association and the District will encourage teachers and school leaders to communicate openly with each other in order to address issues and concerns. • SEL Training Initiative– will include empathic listening skills as a component to improve school culture for effective communication. • District and PEA leadership will meet quarterly to discuss concerns including workload topics that impact educators. • The District will allocate K12 leadership meeting time to focus on effective ways to identify and address staff concerns.
