Contributions in Advance. Except in the case of the Municipal Pension Plan, where this Agreement requires the Employer to deduct from an employee's pay the employee's contribution towards the premium payments for any insurance or benefit plan, such deductions shall be made one month in advance. That is, deductions will be made at the end of a current month for the employee's contribution for coverages effective in the following month. In the case of newly appointed employees or employees newly enrolled, the first deductions will be double deductions in order to pay the premiums for both the current and the following month. As required by the applicable legislation, the deductions for the Municipal Pension Plan are made at the end of each month relative to the month then ending, not in advance. All contributions made by the Employer on behalf of the employees are similarly made in advance.
