Commitment to Equality and Diversity. In focusing on the differential performance of groups (having shared protected characteristics) in relation to their access, success and progression in HE, the Agreement is designed to impact positively on equality and diversity within and beyond the University. The Agreement includes a strong focus on targeted initiatives for BME student (with a particular focus on attainment), male students, disabled, part-time and mature students. In monitoring and evaluating the Agreement, this will in turn monitor the impact of our Access, Success and Progression plans on equality and diversity, since the Agreement has been designed with these outcomes in mind. This Agreement is underpinned by equality and diversity data covering student admissions, retention, attainment and employability. In our Strategic Framework 2015-2020 we aim to provide our diverse student body with a high quality holistic student experience in relation to learning and to actively reach out to students from disadvantaged groups to raise aspirations, attainment and employment and work in partnership with local schools and colleges. The University ensures the integration and implementation of its improvement strategies across these areas via the cross- representation of key staff on relevant committees and working groups (for example the Widening Access, Participation and Retention Sub-Committee and the Equality and Diversity Committee).

Commitment to Equality and Diversity. The PPF Executive Group will adhere to NHS Greater Glasgow and Xxxxx Equality Scheme and Renfrewshire CHP’s Equalities Action Plan. Equality is about creating a fairer society where everyone can participate and has the opportunity to fulfil their potential. It is mostly backed by legislation designed to address unfair discrimination based on membership of a particular group. Diversity is about the recognition and valuing of difference in its broadest sense. It is about creating a culture and practices that recognise, respect, value and harness difference for the benefit of the patients, carers, members of the public and members of staff.

Commitment to Equality and Diversity. The PPF HC will encourage representation from different group on the Coordinating group, but where this is not possible strategies will be put in place to support communication and participation through links with established representative groups. Examples of this will include information and documents being made available in a variety of formats, i.e. community languages, large print, Braille, audiotape etc. Meetings will be held in venues, which are accessible to all with appropriate support to ensure everyone is able to participate (disabled access, when required etc)
Commitment to Equality and Diversity. The University is committed to embedding Equality and Diversity in to all its strategies and it has an excellent track record in delivering a curriculum and learning experience that recognises diversity and provides positive outcomes for all. The University has set out agreed Equality Objectives through to 2020 which have been developed in consultation with staff and students via the Equal Opportunities Committee and focus groups. The University has taken care to ensure that its commitments under this agreement and its duties and objectives under the Equality Act are aligned. The objectives developed for the Equality Action Plan 2016 align with the targets established in this agreement.

  • Equality and Diversity 36.2.1 The Supplier shall:

  • Confidentiality and Security Section 1: Service Provider agrees that all of its employees, contractors, subcontractors, or associates will comply with all state and federal law and with TJJD policies regarding maintaining the confidentiality of TJJD youth, including, but not limited to, maintaining confidentiality of student records and identifying information.

Xxxxxxx shall immediately report in writing to their contract manager when Xxxxxxx has knowledge or any reason to believe that they or any person with ownership or controlling interest in the organization/business, or their agent, employee, contractor or volunteer that is providing services under this Contract has:

  • Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions 10.14.1 Contractor agrees to comply fully with and be bound by all of the provisions of Chapter 12T, “City Contractor/Subcontractor Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions,” of the San Francisco Administrative Code (“Chapter 12T”), including the remedies provided, and implementing regulations, as may be amended from time to time.   • What Will Happen After We Receive Your Letter When we receive your letter, we must do two things:

  • Vendor Certification of Criminal History Texas Education Code Chapter 22 8 Texas Education Code Chapter 22 requires entities that contract with school districts to provide services to obtain criminal history record information regarding covered employees. Contractors must certify to the district that they have complied. Covered employees with disqualifying criminal histories are prohibited from serving at a school district pursuant to this law. DEFINITIONS Covered employees: Employees of a contractor or subcontractor who have or will have continuing duties related to the service to be performed at the District and have or will have direct contact with students. The District will be the final arbiter of what constitutes direct contact with students. Disqualifying criminal history: Any conviction or other criminal history information designated by the District, or one of the following offenses, if at the time of the offense, the victim was under 18 or enrolled in a public school: (a) a felony offense under Title 5, Texas Penal Code; (b) an offense for which a defendant is required to register as a sex offender under Chapter 62, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure; or (c) an equivalent offense under federal law or the laws of another state. Vendor certifies: NONE (Section A): None of the employees of Vendor and any subcontractors are covered employees, as defined above. If this box is checked, I further certify that Contractor has taken precautions or imposed conditions to ensure that the employees of Vendor and any subcontractor will not become covered employees. Contractor will maintain these precautions or conditions throughout the time the contracted services are provided under this procurement. OR SOME (Section B): Some or all of the employees of Vendor and any subcontractor are covered employees. If this box is checked, I further certify that: (1) Vendor has obtained all required criminal history record information regarding its covered employees. None of the covered employees has a disqualifying criminal history; (2) If Vendor receives information that a covered employee subsequently has a reported criminal history, Vendor will immediately remove the covered employee from contract duties and notify the purchasing entity in writing within 3 business days; (3) Upon request, Vendor will provide the purchasing entity with the name and any other requested information of covered employees so that the purchasing entity may obtain criminal history record information on the covered employees; (4) If the purchasing entity objects to the assignment of a covered employee on the basis of the covered employee's criminal history record information, Xxxxxx agrees to discontinue using that covered employee to provide services at the purchasing entity. Which option does Vendor certify? None Certification Regarding "Choice of Law" Terms with TIPS Members Vendor agrees that if any "Choice of Law" provision is included in any sales agreement/contract between Vendor and a TIPS Member, that clause must provide that the "Choice of Law" applicable to the sales agreement/contract between Vendor and TIPS Member shall be the state where the TIPS Member operates unless the TIPS Member expressly agrees otherwise. Any TIPS Sale Supplemental Agreement containing a "Choice of Law" clause that conflicts with these terms is rendered void and unenforceable. If Vendor disagrees, after this solicitation legally closes and TIPS begins evaluating Vendor's file, TIPS will provide Vendor with a draft Word Document version of the Vendor Agreement and will be instructed to include all requested negotiations as redline edits for TIPS consideration.   • Confidentiality and Data Security (a) The Custodian agrees to keep confidential, and to cause its employees and agents to keep confidential, all records of the Funds and information relating to the Funds, including without limitation information as to their respective shareholders and their respective portfolio holdings, unless the release of such records or information is made (i) in connection with the services provided under this Agreement, (ii) at the written direction of the applicable Fund or otherwise consented to, in writing, by the respective Funds, (iii) in response to a request of a governmental, regulatory or self-regulatory authority or agency or pursuant to a subpoena, court order or other legal process, in each case with respect to which the Custodian has determined, on the advice of counsel, that it is required to comply, or (iv) where the Custodian has determined, on the advice of counsel, that the failure to release such information would expose the Custodian to civil or criminal contempt proceedings; provided in the case of clause (iii) or (iv) the Custodian provides the applicable Fund written notice of such requirement to release such records or information, to the extent such notice is permitted. The foregoing shall not be applicable to any information that is publicly available when provided and shall cease to be applicable to any information that thereafter becomes publicly available, other than through a breach of this Section 10(a), or that is independently derived by any party hereto without the use of any information derived in connection with the services provided under this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing but subject to Section 10(d), (1) the Custodian may use information regarding the Funds in connection with certain functions performed on a centralized basis by the Custodian, its affiliates or its or their service providers (including audit, accounting, risk, legal, compliance, sales, administration, product communication, relationship management, compilation and analysis of customer-related data and storage) and disclose such information to its affiliates and to its or their service providers who are subject to the confidentiality obligations hereunder with respect to such information, but only for the purpose of servicing the Funds in connection with the relationship contemplated by this Agreement or providing additional services to the Funds, and (2) the Custodian may aggregate Fund or Portfolio data with similar data of other customers of the Custodian (“Aggregated Data”) and may use Aggregated Data so long as such Aggregated Data represents such a sufficiently large sample that no Fund or Portfolio data can be identified either directly or by inference or implication.
