- Changes in Uniform/Equipment Requirements. Whenever the Division of Police changes the uniform and equipment requirement, the Division of Police shall furnish the initial issue of said new or changed clothing and equipment at no cost to the Bargaining Unit Member. The City shall provide a ballistic vest (minimum of Level 1 or 2) every five years or prior to the vest expiration, whichever comes first. If a grant or reimbursement is available for such vest purchase, the Member shall participate in the program (as is practicable) and cooperate with the City to receive any such grant or reimbursement and provide such applicable payments to the City to apply to or off-set the cost of the vest. The City will determine the vest procurement and process, but will meet and confer with the Lodge as to vest selection options in the labor relations setting.
