Common use of Bilingual Premium Clause in Contracts

Bilingual Premium. 91. Bilingual pay, in the amount of thirty-five dollars ($35) bi-weekly, shall be paid to members who have been certified by the Department of Human Resources as having proficiency in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog, sign language for the hearing impaired and Braille for the visually impaired. Members certified by the Department of Human Resources as having proficiency in other languages shall, upon the approval of the appointing officer, receive this bilingual premium.
