Certification Premium Clause Samples

The Certification Premium clause establishes an additional payment or fee that becomes due upon the achievement or receipt of a specific certification related to the contract's subject matter. Typically, this clause applies in contexts where a party must obtain a professional, regulatory, or quality certification, and the premium serves as an incentive or reward for successful completion. Its core practical function is to motivate timely and successful certification, thereby ensuring compliance with required standards or qualifications and aligning the interests of both parties.
Certification Premium. Nurses who are certified in a nationally recognized specialty in which the Employer provides such services in the Hospital shall be paid a premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour for the first certification and fifty cents ($0.50) for all additional certifications for all paid hours. Nurses receiving a certification premium are not eligible to receive a specialty premium in the same specialty area.
Certification Premium. The medical center recognizes a value to patient care when RNs are certified in their area of specialty practice. Eligible registered nurse will be compensated by an hourly certification premium of $1.25 for all hours paid. All bargaining unit RNs who obtain and maintain a current, nationally recognized renewable certification in a specialty that is representative of the patient population to which they are primarily assigned, based upon management approved Nursing Specialty Certification List, will be eligible. Float RNs must be certified in a specialty to which they would reasonably be expected to consistently float to be eligible for the certification premium. Certified RNs will only be eligible for one certification premium regardless of other certifications the nurse may have.
Certification Premium. Nurses certified in a specialty area by a national organization and working in that area of certification shall be paid a premium of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour, provided that the nurse continues to meet all educational and other requirements to keep the certification current and in good standing. 8.9.1 A list of approved certification programs will be kept in Human Resources and on the intranet. Once per year, the list will be reviewed by the Conference Committee. New certification programs may be considered for addition to the list by submitting a thorough program description, including purpose, scope, term, prerequisites for certification, recertification fee schedule, mailing address, and any other pertinent information to the Conference Committee. 8.9.2 The Chief Nursing Officer shall have the final decision as to whether any changes will be made to the list. 8.9.3 The nurse must document certification achievement and recertification with Human Resources. 8.9.4 A certified nurse is eligible for only one nursing certification premium, regardless of other certifications a nurse may have.
Certification Premium. A certification premium of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour worked shall be paid to those nurses who have achieved a national certification recognized in Appendix A which is applicable to a specific unit or department for which they are assigned. The unit/department manager shall approve all such certification premium requests, renewable at expiration with written proof of re-certification. A nurse may apply only one premium to each nursing unit/department. Such information must be forwarded to Human Resources within three (3) months or the differential will be discontinued.
Certification Premium. 1. All Certified Food Service Employees shall receive a premium of $.25 per hour. 2. One individual in each ▇▇▇▇▇ Center Public School buildings, who is assigned to count money at the end of each day, will be paid a $.25 premium per hour. 3. An additional $415/year will be paid to any employee required by the Board to obtain a boiler license.
Certification Premium. Inventory Purchasing Specialists who are directly involved in 19 the purchasing or management of automotive parts or supplies and who possess the parts specialist 20 Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification, shall receive a two and one half percent (2.5%) 21 premium for all hours compensated.
Certification Premium. Maintenance employees shall receive a premium of forty-five cents ($.45) per hour for Pool Operator I certification, and seventy cents ($.70) per hour for Pool Operator II certification. Effective January 1, 1998 any other employee holding certification shall receive thirty-five cents ($.35) per hour. Effective June 7, 1999 no additional new hires will be paid this certification unless they are classified as a maintenance employee.

Certification Premium. 143. Any represented inspectors who hold a certification in the following categories shall be granted additional premium pay above the base rate per hour for each such certification as follows. The combined total of the premiums shall not exceed 5%. These premiums will be paid only when the certifications are current.
