Benefits, Seniority and Service. Throughout a pregnancy or parental leave, an employee on such leave shall continue to accrue seniority and service for the purposes of pay increments. In addition, all benefits fully paid by the Employer shall continue to be paid by the Employer. Those benefits, including pension, to which there are co-contributions made by both the employee and the Employer shall continue in effect throughout the leave unless the employee gives written notice of his or her intention to discontinue his or her regular contributions, in which case such benefit coverage shall cease for the period of the leave.
