An Excused. Absence Day can occur only when the employee is absent due to one (1) approved jury leave, (2) paid military leave under Section 11.3, or (3) when the employee’s services are not needed because of low workloads. In the case of low workloads, the Employer may, with the employee’s consent, or upon the request of the employee, grant an employee an Excused Absence Day which will be unpaid. In no event can such an Excused Absence Day be granted if the employee must be replaced.

An Excused. Absence is a student’s absence from school for a full day or a portion of a day for the observance of a religious holiday pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:36-14 through 16, Take Your Child to Work Day, Veteran’s Day or any other absence determined to be excused by the New Jersey Department of Education. An Unexcused Absence that does not count towards truancy (however, is still considered an official absence) occurs under the following conditions: Student/Family illness; supported by written documentation from a medical professional. Student’s required attendance in court; supported by written documentation. Where appropriate, when consistent with IEPs, 504s and individual health care plans. Necessary, unavoidable medical or dental appointments that cannot be scheduled at a time other than the school day; supported by written documentation.

  • Intercarrier Compensation Except as specifically described in this Section, the Agreement does not change or amend applicable intercarrier compensation arrangements (including but not limited to Switched Access, Signaling, or Transit charges) between any parties, including between Qwest and Carriers or IXCs.

  • Preventive Care and Early Detection Services This plan covers, early detection services, preventive care services, and immunizations or vaccinations in accordance with state and federal law, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA), as set forth below and in accordance with the guidelines of the following resources: • services that have an A or B rating in the current recommendations of the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF); • immunizations recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; • preventive care and screenings for infants, children, and adolescents as outlined in the comprehensive guidelines supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA); or • preventive care and screenings for women as outlined in the comprehensive guidelines as supported by HRSA. Covered early detection services, preventive care services and adult and pediatric immunizations or vaccinations are based on the most currently available guidelines and are subject to change. The amount you pay for preventive services will be different from the amount you pay for diagnostic procedures and non-preventive services. See the Summary of Medical Benefits and the Summary of Pharmacy Benefits for more information about the amount you pay. Preventive Office Visits This plan covers the following preventive office visits. • Annual preventive visit - one (1) routine physical examination per plan year per member age 36 months and older; • Pediatric preventive office and clinic visits from birth to 35 months - 11 visits; • Well Woman annual preventive visit - one (1) routine gynecological examination per plan year per female member.

  • Criminal History Checks The School shall conduct criminal history checks in accordance with Sec. 846-2.7, HRS, to determine whether a prospective employee or agent is suitable for working in close proximity to children. Information obtained pursuant to this provision shall be used exclusively by the School for the purposes of determining whether a person is suitable for working in close proximity to children. All such decisions shall be subject to applicable federal laws and regulations currently or hereafter in effect. The School may terminate the employment of any employee or deny employment to an applicant if the person has been convicted of a crime, and if the School finds by reason of the nature and circumstances of the crime that the person poses a risk to the health, safety, or well-being of children.

  • Service Level Expectations Without limiting any other requirements of the Agreement, the Service Provider shall meet or exceed the following standards, policies, and guidelines:

  • Direct Contracting Goods and works which the Association agrees meet the requirements for Direct Contracting may be procured in accordance with the provisions of said procurement method.

  • Compensation for Additional Services Additional Services shall be compensated as set forth on Exhibit A for the stipulated payment amounts set forth therein. Other Additional Services not set forth on Exhibit A that are required or requested by the Owner shall be compensated as agreed, using the methodology set forth on Exhibit A, prior to the Design Professional undertaking such Additional Services; provided, however, that if such compensation cannot be agreed, the Additional Services shall be performed at the hourly rates set forth and listed in Exhibit B, plus reimbursable expenses pursuant to Article 4.1.3 below, with a limitation as to maximum amount specified.

  • Operation Delays STATE shall have the authority to delay or suspend the operations of PURCHASER and contractors of PURCHASER, wholly or in part, under this contract for such period or periods necessary due to fire hazard conditions, severe weather occurrence, surveying for threatened or endangered species listed under the state or federal Endangered Species Act, or any other activity STATE determines to be necessary for identification, management, or protection of a threatened or endangered species. PURCHASER agrees to cooperate with surveying efforts of STATE or its contractors. In no event shall STATE be liable for any costs incurred by PURCHASER by reason of delay or suspension under this section, including but not limited to costs of additional move-in/move-out of equipment and personnel, extra fire and equipment security, and insurance or bonding expenses.

  • Supervisor's Post-Probation Report Unless the probationary employee has previously been removed from probation, the principal or other supervisor shall submit a written report to the Superintendent at the end of the probationary period, which report shall identify whether the performance of the probationary employee has improved and which shall set forth one of the following recommendations for further action:
