Ambient Air Quality. The study of baseline ambient air quality AAQ in the core area and the study area is an essential and primary requirement for assessment of the impacts on air environment due to proposed mining activity. This includes identification of specific air pollution parameters expected to have significant impacts and assessing their existing levels in ambient air within the impact zone. To assess the baseline status of ambient air quality in the study area monitoring is undertaken to ascertain the baseline pollutant concentrations in ambient air. The ambient air quality was monitored in the impact area as per MoEF&CC guidelines. The study area represents mostly rural environment. Methods of Sampling and Analysis Fine particulate Sampler APM MFC550 was used for monitoring Particulate Matter (PM2.5 and PM10); gaseous pollutants like SO2, and NO2 was collected by Gaseous Pollutant Sampler APM 433 and CO was monitored by Serinous 30 CO Analyzer with NDIR detector. Method for measurement of Particulate matter, SO2 & NO2 Method for measurement of Particulate Matter (PM10) in ambient air is done by Cyclonic Flow Technique. Particles with aerodynamic diameter less than the cut-point of the inlet are collected by a filter. Cyclones are used to suck ambient air at the monitoring locations. Non-reparable & coarse dust is separated from the air stream by centrifugal forces acting on the solid particles and these particles fall through the cyclone's conical xxxxxx and get collected in the sampling cap placed at the bottom. The fine dust (<10 microns) forming the particulate matter (PM10) passes the cyclone and is retained on the filter paper the mass of these particles is determined by the difference in filter weights prior to and after sampling. The concentration of PM10 in the designated size range is calculated by dividing the weight gain of the filter by the volume of air sampled. A tapping is provided on the suction side of the blower to provide suction for sampling air through a set of impingers for containing absorbing solutions for SO2 and NO. Samples of gases are drawn at a flow rate of 0.2 liters per minute. The APM MFC 550 is used for PM2.5. This system is a manual method for sampling fine particles (PM2.5 fraction) and is based on impactor designs standardized by USEPA for ambient air quality monitoring. Standard Gravimetric method is used for estimation of PM2.5 & PM10. Improved West and Xxxxx method (IS-5182 part-II, 1969) has been adopted for estimation of SO2 a...
Ambient Air Quality. To establish the baseline status of the ambient air quality in the study area, the air quality was monitored at nine locations during post-monsoon and partly winter season. The PM2.5 and PM10 are observed to vary from 14.2 µg/m3 to 45.7 µg/m3 and 28.2 µg/m3 to 72.1 µg/m3 respectively. The SO2 and NOx are observed to vary from 9.8 µg/m3 to 16.6 µg/m3 and 12.6 µg/m3 to 29.2 µg/m3 respectively.

Ambient Air Quality. 1. Within six months following the entry of this Agreement into force, the Polish Party shall, through the Agents, submit to the Czech Party information about anti-dust measures in the Xxxxx mine and subsequently shall implement these measures. Within the same deadline the Polish Party shall provide to the Czech Party all input data (excel files, shape files and .m3d) from 2018 used for the calculations of the dispersion study in the environmental impact assessment report which was the basis for the Decision of the Regional Director of Environmental Protection in Wroclaw of 21 January 2020 (reference WOOŚ.4235.1.2015.53) on environmental conditions.
