Common use of Alternate Work Schedule Clause in Contracts

Alternate Work Schedule. An alternate work schedule is any work schedule where an employee is regularly scheduled to work five (5) days per week, but the employee’s regularly scheduled two (2) days off are NOT Saturday and Sunday.

Classified employees working a 4/10 work week schedule whose regular scheduled day off falls on a holiday listed in Article 9, but Holidays will observe the employee’s regularly scheduled two (2) days holiday by taking an alternate day off are NOT Saturday and Sundayin the same work week the holiday is observed.
