Additionally, the City will implement a PERS pickup program for bargaining unit employees, until the pickup program is terminated pursuant to this section. This plan will be in accordance with Internal Revenue Service regulations and Ohio Attorney General opinions, whereby State and Federal Income Taxes on employee pension contributions by all bargaining unit members will be deferred. Effective the first full pay period of January 2015, the City’s PERS or pension “pick-up” referred to in this section will terminate, and the City will no longer implement or participate in any PERS or pension “pick-up” program. Throughout the term of this Agreement, the City will continue to pay its employer contribution, in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code. In the event that the employee’s share of the pension contribution increases due to a change in law or regulation, the employee shall be responsible for paying the entire amount of the increased employee contribution.

Additionally, the City implemented Internal Revenue Code Section 414 (h) (2) which allows all employees in the bargaining unit to defer paying taxes on their contribution to P.E.R.S. (9%) until retirement or receipt of a lump sum payment (refund).

  • Acceptance by the City It is expressly understood and agreed that all materials provided and/or work done by the Contractor shall be subject to inspection and acceptance by the City at its discretion, and that any progress inspections and approval by the City of any item or work shall not forfeit the right of the City to require the correction of faulty workmanship or material at any time during the course of the work, although previously approved by oversight.   • Responsibilities of the City The City’s Contract Manager will be responsible for exercising general oversight of the Contractor’s activities in completing the Scope of Work.   • Invoicing for Charges Against the Judicial Council’s Master Account A. The Contractor shall establish a Master Account for the Judicial Council’s charges provided for under the exhibits of this Agreement.

  • Obligations of the City A. The City agrees to give the Contractor access to the Project area and other City- owned properties as required to perform the necessary Services under this Agreement.

  • ASSISTANCE IN THE COLLECTION OF TAXES 1. The Contracting States shall lend assistance to each other in the collection of revenue claims. This assistance is not restricted by Articles 1 and 2. The competent authorities of the Contracting States may by mutual agreement settle the mode of application of this Article.

  • OBJECTIVE OF THE CITY 8. It is agreed that the delivery of municipal services in the most efficient, effective and courteous manner is of paramount importance to the City and its employees. EACH OF THE PARTIES HERETO WAIVES IN ALL DISPUTES BROUGHT PURSUANT TO THIS SUBSECTION (A) ANY OBJECTION THAT IT MAY HAVE TO THE LOCATION OF THE COURT CONSIDERING THE DISPUTE.
