Sworn law enforcement officer definition

Sworn law enforcement officer means any individual who derives plenary or special law enforcement powers (such as the power of arrest) from, and is an employee of, a federal, state, or local government agency or instrumentality;
Sworn law enforcement officer means any person formally authorized to make arrests while acting within the scope of explicit legal authority.
Sworn law enforcement officer means all those representatives assigned by agencies of the State of Utah or any of its political subdivisions to carry out the law enforcement functions of the Gang Project. A “sworn law enforcement officer” is not a federal officer.
