Roominghouse definition

Roominghouse means a principal building other than a hotel where lodging which complies with the city Housing Code is provided, without meals, for compensation on other than a day-to-day basis, and which is not open to transient guests.
Roominghouse or "boardinghouse" means buildings in which separate sleeping rooms are rented that provide sleeping accommodations for three or more persons on a weekly, semimonthly, monthly, or permanent basis, whether or not meals or central kitchens are provided but without separated cooking facilities or kitchens within each room, and whose occupants do not need professional nursing or personal-care services provided by the facility.
Roominghouse means any dwelling or that part of any dwelling containing one or more rooming units, and/or one or more dormitory rooms. For the purpose of this code, "roominghouse" includes a dwelling unit occupied by more than four persons who are not legally related. Roominghouse shall not mean a facility regulated and licensed by the state of Wisconsin, including, but not limited to CBRF’s, nursing homes, adult foster homes, or group homes.
