Qualified Domestic Partnership definition

Qualified Domestic Partnership means a relationship between Subscriber and a Domestic Partner in which:
Qualified Domestic Partnership means a relationship between Subscriber and a Domestic Partner in which:• A valid domestic partnership is registered in the State of Nevada when two persons who satisfy the requirements of subsection 2: o File with the Office of the Secretary of State, on a form prescribed by the Secretary of State, a signed and notarized statement declaring that both persons:  Have chosen to share one another’s lives in an intimate and committed relationship of mutual caring; and  Desire of their own free will to enter into a domestic partnership; and o Pay to the Office of the Secretary of State a reasonable filing fee established by the Secretary of State, which filing fee must not exceed the total of an amount set by the Secretary of State to estimate:  The cost incurred by the Secretary of State to issue the Certificate described in subsection 3; and  Any other associated administrative costs incurred by the Secretary of State.• To be eligible to register pursuant to subsection 1, two persons desiring to enter into a domestic partnership must furnish proof satisfactory to the Office of the Secretary of State that: o Both persons have a common residence; o Except as otherwise provided in NRS 122A.500, neither person is married or a member of another domestic partnership; o The two persons are not related by blood in a way that would prevent them from being married to each other in this State; o Both persons are at least 18 years of age; ando Both persons are competent to consent to the domestic partnership.• The Office of the Secretary of State shall issue a Certificate of Registered Domestic Partnership to persons who satisfy the applicable requirements of this section. • As used in this section:o “Common residence” means a residence shared by both domestic partners on at least a part-time basis, irrespective of whether:  Ownership of the residence or the right to occupy the residence is in the name of only one of the domestic partners; and  One or both of the domestic partners owns or occupies an additional residence. o “Residence” means any house, room, apartment, tenement or other building, vehicle, vehicle trailer, semitrailer, house trailer or boat designed or intended for occupancy as a residence.
Qualified Domestic Partnership means a relationship between Subscriber and a Domestic Partner in which:• Both the Subscriber and the Domestic Partner are at least 18 years of age; • The Subscriber and the Domestic Partner have chosen to share one another’s lives in anintimate and committed relationship of mutual caring; • Subscriber and the Domestic Partner have entered into a domestic partnership out of their own free will; • Subscriber and Domestic Partner are competent to consent to the domestic partnership; • Subscriber and Domestic Partner have a common residence; • Subscriber and the Domestic Partner have filed the required affidavits for the formation of a Domestic Partnership under the laws of the State of Nevada with the Secretary of State for the State of Nevada; • The Subscriber and the Domestic Partner are unmarried to each other or any other person; • The Subscriber and the Domestic Partner are not in any other domestic partnership; and • The Subscriber and the Domestic Partner are not related by blood to a degree that would prohibit them from being married to each other in Nevada.

Examples of Qualified Domestic Partnership in a sentence

  • In order for an employee to enroll a domestic partner in the district’s Qualified Domestic Partnership coverage, the employee must be eligible for and participating in the district’s insurance program.

  • If you get married, or enter into a Qualified Domestic Partnership, any designation of beneficiary you made before the marriage, or before entering into the Partnership, is automatically revoked in favor your spouse or Qualified Domestic Partner, and is not revived if you become divorced or your Qualified Domestic Partnership ends.

  • Has not signed a declaration or affidavit of Qualified Domestic Partnership with any other person within the last twelve (12) months; 3.

  • Is mentally competent to consent to contract when this Qualified Domestic Partnership began; 7.

Related to Qualified Domestic Partnership

  • Registered domestic partner means an individual joined in a domestic partnership that is registered by a county clerk in accordance with ORS 106.300 to 106.340.

  • Qualified Domestic Relations Order means any judgment, decree, or order, including approval of a property settlement agreement, that:

  • Domestic partnership means an association of two or more persons to carry on as co-owners a

  • Inverted domestic corporation means a foreign incorporated entity that meets the definition of an inverted domestic corporation under 6 U.S.C. 395(b), applied in accordance with the rules and definitions of 6 U.S.C. 395(c).

  • Plan approved domestic relations order means a judgment, decree, or order (including the approval of a settlement agreement) which is:

  • Domestic Partner means an opposite or a same-sex partner who is at least 18 years of age and has met all of the following requirements for at least 6 months:

  • Designated domestic violence agency means a county-wide organization with a primary purpose to provide services to victims of domestic violence, and which provides services that conform to the core domestic violence services profile as defined by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency in the Department of Children and Families and is under contract with the division for the express purpose of providing the services.

  • Certified Domestic Violence Specialist means a person who has fulfilled the requirements of certification as a Domestic Violence Specialist established by the New Jersey Association of Domestic Violence Professionals.

  • Domestic partners means, for purposes of this Article, any two adults, of the same or different sex, who have registered with a governmental entity pursuant to state or local law authorizing this registration or with a internal registry maintained by an employer of at least one of the domestic partners.

  • Disregarded Domestic Subsidiary means any direct or indirect (other than through a Foreign Subsidiary) Domestic Subsidiary of which substantially all of its assets consist of Equity Interests of one or more indirect Foreign Subsidiaries.

  • Wholly Owned Domestic Subsidiary means a Wholly Owned Subsidiary that is also a Domestic Subsidiary.

  • Disqualified Partnership Any domestic entity classified as a partnership under the Code if any of its direct or indirect beneficial owners (other than through a U.S. corporation) are (or, under the applicable partnership agreement, are permitted to be) Disqualified Non-United States Tax Persons.

  • Not Domestic Law means any obligation that is not governed by the laws of (A) the relevant Reference Entity, if such Reference Entity is a Sovereign, or (B) the jurisdiction of organisation of the relevant Reference Entity, if such Reference Entity is not a Sovereign.

  • Excluded Domestic Subsidiary means any Domestic Subsidiary that is (a) a direct or indirect Subsidiary of an Excluded Foreign Subsidiary or (b) an Excluded Domestic Holdco.

  • Not Domestic Issuance means any obligation other than an obligation that was, at the time the relevant obligation was issued (or reissued, as the case may be) or incurred, intended to be offered for sale primarily in the domestic market of the relevant Reference Entity. Any obligation that is registered or qualified for sale outside the domestic market of the relevant Reference Entity (regardless of whether such obligation is also registered or qualified for sale within the domestic market of the relevant Reference Entity) shall be deemed not to be intended for sale primarily in the domestic market of the Reference Entity.

  • Qualified Nurse means a person who holds a valid registration from the Nursing Council of India or the Nursing Council of any state in India.

  • Qualified beneficiary means a beneficiary who, on the date the beneficiary's qualification is determined:

  • Qualified Retirement means the Participant’s voluntary termination of Service after reaching age 65 and completing 10 years of service with the Company, its Subsidiaries or predecessors.

  • Qualified Benefit Plan has the meaning set forth in Section 3.20(c).

  • Qualified Beneficiaries has the meaning set forth in Section 4.12.

  • Non-Qualified Stock Option means any Stock Option that is not an Incentive Stock Option.

  • Domestic Relations Order means a domestic relations order as defined by the Code or Title I of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, or the rules thereunder.

  • Foreign limited partnership means a partnership formed under laws other than of this state and having as partners one or more general partners and one or more limited partners.

  • Qualified disabled veteran means a business entity that is 51% or more owned by one or more veterans with a service- connected disability.

  • Foreign limited liability limited partnership means a foreign limited partnership whose general partners have limited liability for the obligations of the foreign limited partnership under a provision similar to section 488.404, subsection 3.

  • Family Company means a company that is owned directly or indirectly by or for two or more natural persons who are related as siblings or spouse (including former spouses), or direct lineal descendants by birth or adoption, spouses of such persons, the estates of such persons, or foundations, charitable organizations or trusts established for the benefit of such persons. For purposes of determining the amount of investments owned by a company, there may be included investments owned by majority-owned subsidiaries of the company and investments owned by a company (“Parent Company”) of which the company is a majority-owned subsidiary, or by a majority-owned subsidiary of the company and other majority-owned subsidiaries of the Parent Company. In determining whether a natural person is a qualified purchaser, there may be included in the amount of such person’s investments any investment held jointly with such person’s spouse, or investments in which such person shares with such person’s spouse a community property or similar shared ownership interest. In determining whether spouses who are making a joint investment in the Partnership are qualified purchasers, there may be included in the amount of each spouse’s investments any investments owned by the other spouse (whether or not such investments are held jointly). There shall be deducted from the amount of any such investments any amounts specified by paragraph 2(a) of Annex 2 incurred by such spouse. In determining whether a natural person is a qualified purchaser, there may be included in the amount of such person’s investments any investments held in an individual retirement account or similar account the investments of which are directed by and held for the benefit of such person.
