Pumper fire apparatus definition

Pumper fire apparatus means a vehicle designed to be used by a fire service provider under emergency conditions to transport personnel and equipment and to support the suppression of fires and mitigation of other hazardous situations. This definition does not include aerial devices. For purposes of the Firefighter Assistance Grant Program, this apparatus shall fully comply with Chapter 5 of the NFPA® 1901, Standard for Automotive Fire Apparatus (2016 Edition), which is hereby incorporated by reference.
